I shoot XX75 2413s. They weigh 487 grains with everything. I got them on clearancefor 3.88 an arrow pre-cutto 30", my draw length, and inserts added.Unfortunately, the local Academy hasrun out of them.

xx75 2315's for $36.95 a dozen. 524 grains flying at 255fps. Enough momentum to penetrate the biggest of game. Stable as all get out and shoot broadheads in the same hole as the field tip. 3 dz will last me for possibly 10 yrs as long as I shoot one arrow at one spot on my target. I had one arrow I took 3 elk with before I broke it and it left no carbon fibers in the meat. How can you beat em?

I've tried both and have to admit, I prefer aluminum. If you shoot the back end of an aluminum arrow in the target, most of the time you replace the nock and keep shooting. Carbon on the other hand 99% of the time you also cracked the end of the arrow---TRASHED.

i went back to 2216 this year after shooting GT for about 3 yrs and they didnt seem to group that well any more, the carbon must starte to break down after so long. the aluminum arrows have the consistant spine that i want,i was shooting 2 inch groups at 30 yrds yesterday and my 100grn TH are dead on..

As long as Easton manufacturers aluminum arrows I will not change. Tried carbons and don't care for them, especially with the increasing incidence of carbon failure on release or on impact with the game. Speed: at 30 yards my 2514 will impact in less then the blink of an eye after the carbon.

I retired my 12yr old bow last year and decided to jump on the carbon bandwagon with the new bow. They shot fine, but certainly not spectacular. I was also shooting expandables at the time. This year I have switched back to fixed blade broadheads for my own piece of mind, but I could not get them within 4" of my fp's at 20yds with the carbons. I went back in the house and grabbed a couple of10year old aluminums with feathers (that had been shot in indoor leagues and 3D for MANY years before they started collecting dust). Shot one with a field point. Hit only a couple inches away from where the carbons were. Shot the next one with a broadhead and almosthit the first one!! I didn't expect them to be that close so I aimed at the same spot ... I won't make that mistake again.

I have since switched backto old school ... aluminum arrows and fixed blade broadheads. They are shooting better than the carbons ever did with my setup and I only lost about 12fps. I'm actually happy with my shooting again:D! I don't see me changing back any time soon. The only thing I need now is for October to get here.;)

Very intrestresting, out of appoximately 32 responding, 29 people prefered their aluminums and only 3 likes the carbons better. It appears no doubt that I'm in a minority, but I just have to find out for myself as I really like the groups I been getting. Thanks for the responses.;)
