Brought my bow in today
 

I got my new/used bow yesturday. I bought a 04 Hoyt Vipertec off of ebay. I brought it down to the local pro shop to have it checked over and set up. I was surprized that they weren't mad about me buying it from someone else. He said he understood and that I got a great deal at $400.00. I was surprized that my draw length is now 27.5 and that my arrows gonna be cut down to 26 inches. On my old Hoyt Raider-Intruder I had a 29 when I was set up then had it shortened to 28.5 with 29 inch arrows to have clearance for broadheads. All I know is the bow feels great in my hands and when I shot one a month ago I knew I had to have one. Now I just have to wait till it is all set up and my Copper John Dead Nuts sight comes in.:D

I just bought a 04 vipertec and so far love it so far ,It will make a great hunting bow it is quiet and a great shooter. It is not as forgiving at my protec or ultratec but that is due to the shortness. Neverless it will be a great hunting bow.

As for the draw length, the same thing happened to me a couple years back. When bought my 02 Magna Tec, my draw length went from 30 down to 28.5. I didnt even think about it when I bought it. I purchased by bow online as well. I was so lucky that it didnt drop anymore, because the bow was adjustable from 28.5 to 31. Another .5 lower and I would have been one PO'd archer.

yea i bought my bow from a diff dealer and brought itin to get the string changed...."whered you buy this bow":eek:..i

Congratulations on the new bow. I had an '03 Vipertec that I absolutely loved. It was probably one of the sweetest Hoyt bows I have ever owned. At that price you got a steal.
