Stalking/Still Hunting Footwear
With the early season and the October lullsoon upon us, I'm contemplating keeping the Summit in the car for at least half the month. Too many times I've made the mistake of sweltering in a treestand when I should be scouting and still hunting new prospective areas.
With this in mind, do any of you have a favorite shoe or boot that does well in this role? I need a shoe that'll let me feel that twig before it snaps and has a low profile. Any particularsuggestions? Fritz |

I can't give a firsthand review of these boots, but I have been thinking long and hard about buying them. I would like to hear a review of them first, though. Perhaps you could buy them and let me know.:D;)

Ah-Ha!! I did a search and here are a couple of reviews I found on the shoes above, both very favorable. Look at the bottom of both articles for the shoe reviews.

RE: Stalking/Still Hunting Footwear
Those are nice boots, but I'm looking for something on par with what "Charlie" would have worn in the jungles of Vietnam. Now I know they used cut tires out of necessity, but it they had stealth. I'm looking for more of a low cut, thin-soled shoe. A leather mocassin would work if it didn't stink so much. I guess I'm looking for a synthetic mocassin with an adequate tread since I'll have a arrow nocked as I walk.

RE: Stalking/Still Hunting Footwear
by2386 I have a pair of those and love them, I wear them till it gets to cold, They are so comfortable. I also have 2 pairs of the reg silent stalk sneakers I got them as a special 14.99 a pair, thats why I bought 2 pair. They're not water proof though so I just wore a pair of gortex socks. Then I went to cabellas and picked up the ones you have listed. I like them all.
