Serrated blades are great for cutting rope and bread, but they have no advantage on a broadhead. As others have stated, a cut from a smooth sharp razer edge will bleed longer and more profusely than a cut from a serrated edge.

Check out the below link for some interesting discussion on serrated vs. smooth blades...beware thediscussion is about humans and knife wounds!One of the popular theories is to go with a combo blade, kinda like the buzzcut, get the initial clean cut with the smooth tip and do some followup damage with the serrations. I like the thought of buzzcuts more and more..........best of both worlds.
