shed hunting???
 
has anyone heard of people training dogs to find sheds??? i have heard of a few that has but i'm not real sure that it was true. if anyone knows if this is even possible or very effective or has any information on how to train a dogfor shed hunting it would be very helpfull. thanks

i have read articles on it. Try out with a small shed and throw it like a bone and throw it into the open. Then get bigger and once he has that down throw it in the woods for a while then once he has that down put the dog inside and throw the horn as far as u can in the woods, throw and not set cause the dog will follow your footsteps right to it. They can find sheds cause they are bone and i'm not sure if they can smell it or what but it works

My dogs will search around the house, but the outside work hasn't gone so well. Usually they will just sit infront of the antlers hanging on my wall.
