Moderator Cup Update - READ ME ALL
 

The other post was getting a tad long, so I made a new post. Please do not use the other post any longer.

Entry fees are $2-$5 depending on how much you wish to enter. At the end of the sign up deadline, <font color=red>Sept. 30th</font id=red>, I will make a list of all enterants and go ahead and get the trophies made earlier this year. I will wait until the end of the competition, Jan. 30th, '03, and then have the winners names engraved on the trophies and mail them out shortly afterwards.

Make sure to write your name, address, hunting.net user name, and make checks, money orders or whatever you pay with out to Jerry Pollen.

I won't be home for the majority of the season up until the middle of October, so my wife will collect the entries and file them away for me until I get home from Montana in late Sept. I will make a list of all members that have entered so far, and we will allow a grace period for people that have signed up, but haven't sent their money yet.

IL_BOW_MAN has offered to set up the webpage again to hose the photos. Non-enterants will also have a place to display their 2002 trophies.

This is not a list of who has paid. Artic will post that list when he gets back from hunting. Wait a second, that guy hunts all year long. He will post a list in a couple of weeks.

As you can see the list is long. If everybody pays, it should be a great Cup Race this year!!

NJ, the Moderator Cup is a little contest put on by a couple of the members of the board. At the present time it is a bow only thing. Memebers that wish to enter send in $2 min for an entry fee. If you send more than $2 it just goes towards bigger and better trophies. All the money that is sent in goes towards trophies with Artic picking up the tab if he spends over the amount of the pot. But I believe he wasn't out much of his own cash last year. At the end of the season the biggest buck is awarded one trophy and then there is a voting time period for viewers choice. Viewers Choice can be of any critter that is harvested with a bow. I imagine that if 3/4 of the people signed up pay that there will be 2 trophies for Biggest buck and 2 for viewers choice.

Great. I hope you polish my trophy up real nice, cause it better not have finger print's on it when it get's here in WV! <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

The website is posted in the first post above. I have taken out the entries from last year, except for the winners and a picture of the trophy. So you won't know what you are up against until some people start killing some animals. I won't start posting pictures on the site until the money collecting period is up. That way we know who is in the contest.

But just so you know....I have my eye on a 160 class Whitey. Just hope things go in my favor this year.
