RE: Spray Paint Cresting
1. Remove or tape over the nock.
2. Tape around the arrow where you want the cresting to stop. 3. Tape down the arrow to prevent overspray from contaminating the rest of the arrow. 4. With white (or whatever) spraypaint, in smooth strokes so as not to get too much paint in one spot, paint the lenght of the arrow where you left off the tape. 5. Allow to dry for about 15 minutes. 6. With your second color if you choose to use one, spray across the arrow. This step is the most dificult, but not too bad. You will learn the distance and angle to hold the tip. I have found that after you get the solid color at the nock, to have the fade effect, hold the nozzle farther away so the paint just "dusts" the arrow. The entire process is fairly simple, but does take some practice. If you have some old junk arrows lying around, use those up first. Any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. |
