MY new bow is a NO-GO...back to square one!

Guys, High Country ended up not wanting to make me a custom bow at a different ATA length.I was really dissapointed buyt there are alot of good bows out there. The man I have been working with has a bow shop and is a HCA dealer. He has really encouraged me as a beginner to select a bow with a 36+ axle to axle length and 7+ brace height. He feels I will be able to shoot a longer bow more accuratley as a beginner, and when I am ready one day get a shorter faster bow when I get more experience. Anyhow, he has actually steered me away from HC bows since they really don't have another bow he is reccommending to me. I was surprised because this actually shows he wants me to have the best bow for me and not make a buck off a rookie. Anyhow, I have several bows and brands I have been looking at...tell me what ya'll think. PARKER- Hunter -Mag, Extreme Hunter -Mag
RENEGADE- The Nugebow
REFLEX- Gizzly, Timberwolf, and Super-Slam.

What do ya'll think of the SLAM 1/2 cam system on the Reflex bows? I would really like a single cam bow I think but I don't know enough to count out Reflex.

If you guys have any other bows out there like I have described let me know please!

THANKS

The reflex grizzly is an excellent first bow. Lots of value for the money, generous brace and longer ATA. I had one and liked it alot.

I do think the Reflex line is a very UNDERated bow line. They are hard to beat for the money.

Sounds like your in good hands. The super slam just did very well in a test between 10 bows I just read about.

I held and drew the Super Slam, since then it keeps emerging in my thoughts;).
For the money I would give it a large amount of consideration. If it shoots as good as it feels, it will be a winner for sure.

I just spent the last couple of weeks looking at bows. The Reflx Timberwolf 2005 model, was high on my list. I actually went with a Hoyt-Vtec, but dollar for dollar the Reflex line in general impressed me as solid well made bows at good prices.

Throw another vote in for the Reflex lineup. High quality at an affordable dollar. They are getting closer and closer to what Hoyt sells for much more.

IMO instead of the Super Slam I would go with the Hoyt Ultramag. It has the same cams and laminated limbs as the V-tec and shoots almost identicle. I have one and love it . It has a generous axle to axle lenght andgood brace height.
AWSOME bow for around $450!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
