Tuning Question

When I look at my limbs I can see that the top limb is sticking out more than my bottom limb. Is this something that I should take to my local shop to have him look over. My bow is 5-6 years old and has not been looked at(by a tech)since the day I bought it.Also how much would it cost to have him look at the limbs, check my draw length to make sure it is correct and make sure my bow is paper tuned??

RE: Tuning Question

You probably need a new set of strings and cables if you are still on the originals. I'd bet that if you bought the string/cables through your local shop they'd check the bow out for free while they have it in the press. If not I wouldn't think it'd cost more than $20-30 to have it checked over and tuned.

RE: Tuning Question

If I am reading your post correctly it just sounds like one of your limbs is backed out of the limb pocket a bit more than the other. This could be because someone attempted to tiller tune it at one point or it could just be that someone didn't back the limb bolts out an even number of turns when the draw weight was originally set.

Driftrider gave you good advice. Take it to the local shop and have them give it a tune-up and the once over. Prices typically average between $10 and $35 here locally.
