Tie-on Cat Whiskers?
I recently purchased some tie-on cat whisker string silencers. Is there a certain way they need to be tied on to the string for best performance?

RE: Tie-on Cat Whiskers?
tie them onto the string about mid way on each side of the nocking point.tie them on before you seperate them.then take a pare sissors, catch the whiskers and pull them tight and cut about 1/8 in. off the end and they will seperate as you cut.

RE: Tie-on Cat Whiskers?
I use a very small ziptie to wrap the cat whisker around the string and before stretching the whisker to seperate it, shoot once or twice to see what the sound is like and then move the whisker up or down the string an inch or so and shoot again to see if it is quieter. Once I find the spots that provide the most quiet string sound I tighten the ziptie and split the whisker by stretching and cutting slowly to cause the rubber to split out. I then trim the end of the ziptie as close as possible.
