Recurve bow question

Hey everyone, I am bidding on a super kodiak bear recurve....the pictures look great and its 50# at 58". I'm about 5'8". Is 58" too long for me? I've shot 52" and it felt comfortable but i've never shot anything else. this is the sight if you'd like to take a look at it.

thanks

RE: Recurve bow question

58" is fine. Actually, it will be more forgiving than a 52" brush bow. I'm 5'7" and don't really like bows (straight limbed bows anyway) much under 60", due to increasing finger pinch, decreasing forgiveness, and and whippier feel in the hand. Good luck with your bidding, and have fun if you win!

AK is right on-58" will be fine for you.All of my 'curves are 60" or better. My 2 best shooters are 62" and 64".I prefer a longer bow-it feels more stable and I'm definitely more accurate with them.Good luck and hope you get it-it's a decent bow.

RE: Recurve bow question

That is a great bow. It is a good length for both field shooting and hunting. I do not care for the shorter bows. The longer recurves seem to shoot so much smoother. Good luck in the auctions. Let us know how you made out.
