RE: 3rd Annual Broadhead Success Poll

Got a Button buck and a 8 point buck. I used 100 grain 4 blade muzzy broadheads with the realtree camo ferrul with one inch cutting diameter ( And yes they do go through bone at a draw length of 26 with 57 poundage draw weight ) shooting the Parker Ultra Light 31. I also was successful with Steelforce 100 grain Sabertooth broadheads got a complete lung and heart passthrough shot. This was my first time using muzzys and the ones I bought shot just like my field tips. The first shot with one of the muzzys on the broadhead range was a center dot hit.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Shot one doe last night - opening in NY. I used a 145 grain two bladed Magnus. It was a quartering away shot and was a complete pass though at 27 yards. The arrow entered the body around mid body and blew through the shoulder blade at the exit. The deer went about 15 yards.

I shouldn't even post this because I don't remember the name or manufacturer of the broadheads, but they were all the rage 12 years ago. It is a 3 blade fixed broad head where the blades are helical (sp?) like the fletching. The blades are solid (no voids or openings like the muzzies and thunderhead blades). The arrow flew true and I bagged a buck with them.

I still have two left but have also got some thunderhead 100's from a friend today. I don't know which I'll use next, but it'll definitely be the helical ones if I don't have time to practice with the Thunderheads.

Took a 215 lb doe at 12 yards with gametracker expandable 100gr. Opened perfectly but didn't get pass through. She went 75 yards and dropped dead from internal bleeding

THWACK!
