Rubber Fly Legs
I was at Bass Pro today buying some material for flies. I needed some rubber legs, so I picked a packed of rubber legs. I brought them home and started tying my flies, when I noticed that the legs could be used as cat whisker silencers. A 2' long roll of legs costs $2. You can get ten whiskers, or five sets, for the price of one. The only difference in the two is the legs do not come tied. This is not a big problem though. All you have to do is tie the legs, which are stuck together in a big group of 40 and 2' long, and cut them out. You can get a set of cat whiskers for $0.40. Just thought I'd let you know how to save a few bucks.

Or you can stock up on cat whiskers at the end of the year when Meijers and Wal-Mart blow them out for a $0.50 a pack.

Kodiak, you could do that, but saving $0.50 is great! :D
Arthur P, is that really what you did? |
RE: Rubber Fly Legs
Yep. I bought a roll of rubber legs a couple of years ago. I cut off a 4 strips (2 for each end of the string) 2-2 1/2" long and tie them on with braided fastflight serving material.
