Bohning Vanes

I was considering trying the blazer vanes but I got my new Cabelas archery catalog and they had KILLER VANES never heard of them before so the question is should I get the blazers or try the killer vanes?

I have and do use the X vanes and the blazers. I have very limited experience with the Killers though. They are rather similar to the X vanes though.

Both are fine vanes.

It's all about what you are looking for they are from complete different ends of the spectrum the blazers short and light and the killers are 4 or 5 inch and heavy.

3 blazers weigh around 15 grains

3 Killers weigh in at 36 grains (4 inch)

Try the Blazers, they really are a great vane. If you wanted to stay with a standard 4", I much prefer the Duravanes over the Bohning. Good luck and good shootin'

So what is the deal with the Killers? They are a little on the heavy side but is there any special reason for this? Are they being touted as especially durable or do they aid in noise/vibration reduction? Are they especially inexpensive?
