Default Game Cam Pic from INSIDE my house! Awsome!

Well guys,

The past couple of nights we have had problems with a critter comming into our yard and knocking down our bird-feeders and going through our garbage. Well, after 2 out of large bird-feeders filled with 15 pounds of bird seed disappeared, I decided to set up my Stealth Cam right inside my bay-window. Well, last night I turned it on at about 11:00 p.m. and then went down to my back-yard to spot my food-plot to see if any deer were out. Well, I hit the light and there she was...... a black bear. I watched her for a little while and she headed into the woods. Well, a couple minutes later 2 cubs came out followed a few minutes later by another cub. They were about 100 yards away. All of a sudden, the cubs go flying up a tree and mommy came busting out of the woods straight towards my sisters boy-friend and I. We took off and came into my house. Well, I woke up this morning and had pics on my game cam so I got them developed and sure enough, I got pics of mommy.

Tonight at 9:30 I went back down there and the 4 of them were in my food-plot routing around. I was about 100 yards away again and I watched them for about 45 mintues, they didn't care at all. I finally decided to yell at them as loud as I could and they all just sat there looking right up my way. They weren't scared at all.

I called the PGC this morning and they told me to fill up balloons with ammonia then cover them in peanut butter and set them up around my yard. When the bear bites them, she will get a mouth full of ammonia and she shouldn't return. I am gonna try this tommorrow around my house, but I don't want to scare her out of my property for good. If she wouldn't come up so close to my house I wouldn't have a problem with her. I figure that I will put the balloons up near my house and hope that it deters her from comming so close to the houses.

Here she is....... from the ground to the bottom of the bird-feeder is about 40"-42"

I would be scared, i haven't ever seen a bear in real life before,, that's neat that you don't mind them much, and is definatly a cool picture, at least you finally know what's been causing mischief around your yard lol

BM...That's cool!

We had one coming in to our feeder in our yard at my camp on WV. He would come in while we were talking. One night, I walked off the porch and snuck towards him (300lb-ish boar)to see how close I could get. (I was unarmed) I got about 25' away when hw stood up and looked at me. He WOOFED and ran away. Kinda cool.

They're not frightening at all to me unless there are cubs around.

Once again...cool pictures.

I wouldn't walk at a bear to see how close i could get unarmed. The outcome could have turned out different ,its wild you never know what could happen .An animal with young makes the most gentle animal go crazy if you get to close

Buck, I had a bear coming around the house here earlier this summer. It totally destroyed some of my moms bird feeders. Havent seen any sign of it for a couple weeks now. Wish I wouldve set up my trail cam and got some pics tho.

Great pic BM. It is funny you should bring up bear encounters as I just had one while mountain biking last week. The darn thing was just about to climb over the guard rail of the road I was riding on. As I came by it turned tail and headed down a steep embankment and across a creek. Then I lost it in the thick undergrowth. I never expected to see one so close to my home.
