new bow....tough decision

I am currently shopping for a new bow, but didn't realize how difficult it would be to choose one. My last bow was a BuckmasterG2XL and the one before that was a Champion bow. Both were good bows but I just want to get a new one. I would like to spend under $500. So far I have shot a Diamond Rapture, Diamond Triumph, Diamond Victory (dual cam), Fred Bear SQ32, Parker Phoenix 34. The Diamond Rapture was o.k. but seemed to have noticable hand shock. The Diamond Triumph was nice but I was concerned with how short it is (31.5"). I'm sure my form is not the best, so this short axle to axle length may hurt me. However it does have a large brace height (7.88"). I did not like the feel of the Diamond Victory dc and it was a little over $500. The Fred Bear SQ32 shot very good but was $599 and felt a little heavy. The Parker Phoenix seemed to have noticable hand shock and noise. Guess the search shall continue.

Check out some PSE bows. They are extremely good bows.

Shoot everything you can get your hands on that fall w/ in your price range. You'll know when you find it!
Good luck.

The Mathews FX2 is a nice bow and it is about $450. I had a Feather lite before my legacy, which shoot very well. I had some limbsavers on it and it had no vibration. The FX2 is a similar design but improved.

I bought my dad a Martin Jaguar Magnum last fall and was very impressed with it. The bare bow was $300. It is very smooth, accurate, and forgiving. Good luck.

In that price range I would go immediately to the nearest Reflex dealer and plop some cash on the counter......

IMO, reflex is the best bang for your buck out there.

I never shot a reflex, but they sure look like nice bows. You should check one out.
