I ordered my switchback last night,
Wish I was saying that.

Im 8' 4" and draw 42'

actually im 6,3" pulling 30"

This is gonna sound stupid but I'm a newbie, is the draw length of a bow adjustable for the normal guy to do or does it have to go to the shop?

That depends on what bow it is and how much experience you have. Some are easy to to yourself. My browning is as easy as moving two little allen screws, no need for abow press. Others need a press to chance the draw length and still others require a press and different modules to adjust the length.

Not a stupid question.

i'm 5' 11" with a28 inch draw. my Dad's 6' and shoots a 31"draw.
