Whisper disc?
 

What's the feedback on this rest(Golden Key Whisper Disc)?I've heard that it is better than the Whisker Biscuit.

I just put one on a new hoyt got to shoot it couple hours .I liked it I have two WB on to other bows .I have them trim so the fletching dont touch going thru.on the whisper disc I neede to ajust couple nocks make sure on the clearing.so far so good.It was less money then the wb

What Iam concerned aboutare the slits in the disc. What if the fletching isn't perfectly lined up...do the vanes crash into the disc? These slits seem to be narrow and don't leave much room for error.

Took disc off.spent 3 days trying to get it set up every thing needs to be perfect to get arrows to clear.there is no forgiveniss at all on this rest.went back to WB

I do not think I would say that it is "better" than the biscuit but rather different. If you shoot straight fletch or a slight offset then you may be able to get perfect clearance through the rest especially with short vanes.

Last year a friend of mine came up to the shop to BS and we decided to set up the WD and WB on the same bow to see what effects they had in comparison to a typical prong style rest. Accuracy was very comparable between the 3 rests. Noise levels were better on the WD and WB because of their materials but there was a speed reduction on both the WD and WB with the arrows being used. The WB only saw a modest reduction of 1-2 fps while the WD was a little bit more at 3-4 fps.

I have one and used it for a short time. In all fairness, my bow may not have been tuned perfectly, but I had a tough time getting the fletching to pass through the slots properly. The result was that I had fletching damage AND damage to the Whisper Disk's foam.

And, it may have been only me being paranoid, but it seemed like the arrows didn't slide across the foam well. It seemed like there was too much friction between the foam and the arrows, which slowed them down. I couldn't quit thinking of the foam on the disk being similar to a lot of the foam targets.
