warm weather hunting clothes

I'm looking at getting some hunting clothes for hunting the early deer season. Sept 15 is the opener and looking Fw to it. All Ihave is cotton clothes and wonder what gear everyone else has.

TIA

I have a como thong. If it gets to hot for that I just stay home. Oh and camo flip flops. I get a little scratched up and bug bit with this warm weather gear but it is a price I am willing to pay for a trophy Buck.

i bought one of the bass pro 3-d bug suits and it's a netting. i learned in turkey season that you can wear shorts and a cotton long sleeve camo shirt under it with my boots on and it's quite comfortable. it also keeps the bugs off. i'm really glad i bought it. i think i'm going to use this stuff for the kentucky bow opener that's labor day weekend.

you really should check out the Rem-Lites or Trek-Lites...they are AWESOME...i wear them all year long...if it gets too chilly i just throw some longjohns on underneath...the pants can be worn as shorts too.

I will be hog hunting in Florida in a couple weeks with my ASAT leafy suit,I'll post how I did with it.It is light and airy,I will porbably wear shorts underneath and treat it with permamone.

I would definitely recommend 'Under Armour' clothing--they're well made, the stitching doesn't fray loose and you can buy clothes for warm or cold weather.

only drawback is that they are $30+ for a shirt and what not, and need to be washed constantly.

I hunt here in SoCal, so I know a little about this subject. I also like Under Armour products, I wear the "Heat Gear" under my lightweight Scent Blocker pants and jacket. It's the only way to stay cool and scent-free.
While hunting hogs, I wear the same thing, except the jacket comes off when hiking.
Hope this helps.

I agree with fl.huntress. This is what I wear for hunting in FL. Very comfortable and dry quickly if they get wet.

I tend to stay away from cotton because of its lack of color fastness. Instead I opt for Cabelas Microtex garments. They are relatively lightweight, comfortable and retain their color after repeated washings.

i like those long sleeve camo tees made by jerseys. cabelas sells them, and there dirt cheap. cabelas also know has a 6 pocket camo sweat pant. ive hunted in 100+ degrees in those in relative comfort, but i do realize that here in wyoming we have no humidity, so that may make a difference where u r at.

Yeah, down here in Missouri the humidity can get pretty misriable.

I got a chainsaw for Father's day a few months ago, going to see if I can get anything else out of the deal!

I hate those things! They are nylon and you will flat burn up in them. Wore them some last year. Hunt in South Arkansas, almost in Louisiana and the humidity will kill you. Everything I wear in early fall hunting is cotton 100%. I'm much more comfortable now. I like the suggestion about wearing shorts and short T under a bug suit though. I may have to try that!

BassPro has their RedHead Air Mesh stuff on sale until Father's day. At least my local one does. I got a Fathers Day flier in the mail with the info. These are like a jersey material, 6 pocket BDU pant, and I already had a Mesh shirt. That with the UnderArmour will be nice this year.
