It depends how fast your bow is and your arrow weight--if you shoot pretty flat trajectory you shouldn't have to compensate very much,but it differs from one setup to the next.arrow length will vary depending on the type of riser on your bow--reflex,even or deflex.

Since all bows shoot at different speeds and there are so many variables like arrow length and weight you should shoot your bow at 20 and 30 yards to determine how high to hold. As far as arrow length start with an uncut arrow and draw it back while someone stands beside you and marks approximately one inch in front of your rest making sure you clear the bow with the broadhead as well.
