We are going moose hunting in archery season this fall instead of gun season.What would be a good broadhead for moose hunting ?

It all depends on how powerful your bow is. If you have plenty of power then go with something like a Muzzy. If you do not have a very powerful bow then a cut on contact head like a Magnus Stinger should be good. What are the specs on your bow?

i would use the silver flame no matter what your set up is they are spendy but it is what i am hunting elk with this year.

Lot's of good heads. I without knowing your exact bow specs I can only give you general recomendations. Stick with a high quality fixed blade broadhead. I would prefer a single blade( two blade actually) head that cuts on contact. Magnus stingers, Zwickeys, Muzzy phantoms etc. Other great choices would be the smaller muzzy heads, as well as the new generation of smaller fixed blades like the NAP nitron, Rocky turbo, Sonics, Wac'ems etc. Remeber penetration is the key with really big really tough aniamals.

I'm using the Montac G5's 100gr again this season .They don't come very sharp ,so a bit of sharpening will make them deadly.

I'd stick with a cut on contact - magnus, zwickey, stos, grizzly come to mind.

pretty much the same thing as the others have said. Cut on contact will be best. I like steelforce. They are excellent heads and I highly recommend them. Good luck

I`ve used Thunderheads with great results. Complete passthrough at 20 yards.

I just watched a video where a guy shot a moose at 60 yards with a 75 gr. rocket 7/8" cutting dia. The moose only went 50 yards. I plan on using slicktricks if I get drawn.

There are a lot of great broadheads on the market. A few worth considering; Rocket Ultimate Steel 125, Rocky Mountain TI-125 or Ironhead 125, Razorcaps, Magnus, Phantoms, Thunderheads, and Muzzy's.
