I paid $565/acre for my 180 acres in N.C. KS. last year, and my brother farms it for me:) And last year I actually made a grand total of $600:D when all was said and done. Not bad concedering that I can only grow cash crops on about 115 acres of it. The rest is pasture and creek bottom!

about 1k-5k here in va. at least in the northern tier. I just bought 20 acres for 68k. a steal if you could see the place. I got a bit wet getting to the place, but that is why it was still for sale, noone wanted to cross the creek. got a rv for free too. not in bad shape either...hey, its a place to stay if I want.
