Don't know who to blame but I will find out

I posted the other day that my Parker bow's top limb broke while I was practicing.I call Parker about the warrenty and they say it's all good and they will replace both limbs but I have to take it to the nearest dealer so I go to where I bought it in Chesterfield VA and give them the bow to fix and specifically stated "Parker said they will replace both limbs".Dealer calls Parker while I'm there and confirms over the phone they will replace both limbs.I got the bow back today and guess what ONLY THE BROKEN LIMB WAS REPLACED.I put a distictive mark on my lower limb so I know for fact I will be raising hell tommorow.Anybody want to buy a Parker?

Chris

Nope! I have heard to many horror stories about them!

Maybe it wasn't Parker that screwed you over. Your dealer certainly didn't have to send the bow to Parker. Maybe he only replaced the one that was broken and kept the other new one. I suggest you call parker and speak to them to find out just how many limbs were sent to your dealer for your bow and if two limbs were ordered.

Parker has given me nothing but exceptional service any time I needed to deal with them in any way.

I had a limb crack and they told me the same thing they told you about replacing both limbs and needing to take it to a dealer. I was working for a small pro shop that didn't deal in Parker so I called the closest one that did. They said they would order me the limbs and I would have them in a couple of days. Well after about a week and a half I still had no limbs. Come to find out the dealer never did order my limbs. I called up Parker and they had me two new limbs at that dealers shop for me to pick up two days later.

I agree with bigbulls, the dealer screwed you, not parker. I would suggest another brand of bow. Parker is just the flavor of the month. Go with a long time bow like a fred bear product or as much as I hate to say it a hoyt.

I tend to agree that it was the dealer who screwed you and not parker. The jerk likely billed parker for the full job and only did half the work figuring no one whould know. I'd personally call Parker and let them know only half the job was completed and then I'd call and rip someone a new hole at the shop. That's BS and I certainly would not accept that sort of halfass service without making some waves!

send them an email and include a link to this thread.

Parker, like all companies, hate public bashing of their products !

I would definitely contact Parker directly to see what transpired. Though Parker isn't a huge company I could definitely believe that whoever you talked to on the phone was not necessarily the person that processed the order. In any case I would try to gather all the facts before coming any conclusions. Give 'em a chance.

I would definitely be straightening that out. I wouldn't fly off the handle just yet but I certainly wouldn't be appreciative of having to make two trips. If I found out it was the shops mistake and that Parker actually sent the two limbs then I would drop them like a hot rock and never use them again for anything. If I found out it was Parker then a tounge lashing is in order and then move on. JMO

Well I talked with the guy from Parker and he told me that he did send both limbs to the dealer for replacement, he said he would give him a call and get to the bottom of it asap and then offerd to finish the job himself.Well to make a long story short the dealer called me back and said " I thought you wanted me to make the call on replacing the lower limb" My response was " I asked you when I picked the bow up yesterday did you replace both limb's and you told me "YES I did".He knows I cought him.So Parker did stand up and make things right which I was happy with.I can't blame them for a deadbeat dealer.Anyway I'm not one to hold a grudge so I am going to let him fix it and I will not be going back there for anything.I'm thinking of going to a Mathews or Bowtech.Any suggestions?Or did I just open a can-o-worms...HAHA

Sounds like a grudge to me! :D

I'm thinking of going to a Mathews or Bowtech.Any suggestions?
If you are seriously considering switching bows then check out the new Bowtech Binary Cam bows or the Mathew's Switchback. I have an Allegiance and love it. I am sure Mathew's makes a great bow, but I have heard about a few problems with their Switchbacks.

Oh I would ream them a new rear end. Beat him over the head with that cracked limb, get um and get um good. Don,t you rest until this man pays and pays dearly. Make him think twice before he messes with the likes of you. Flare out your chest, tighten your lips, clinch your fists, and march right up to him and demand that new limb. Don,t take no for an answer, if necessary $itch slap him 5 times to the left and 5 times to the right. Don,t even hesitate to throw a chop to his lying throat, followed by an open hand slap to the ears. If you feel a head butt to the bridge of his nose is in order than by god you do it. Gouge his eyes with your thumbs and knee him in the sac! If none of this works run like hell!

I am truely happy that you were able to get the issue resolved .... Glad to see Parker lived up to their word and sent both limbs.... Parker has a very good customer service track record IMO. As for the Bow Shop that Short Limbed you well unfortunatly those kind of shops are out there... there are a few around here that are EXTREMELY overpriced, unknowledgeable, disqustingly dishonest and seriously lacking in the tech area of various brands of bows and I wouldnt let them do any work on my bow ... I wouldnt let them touch my bow's with a ten foot poll!!!!! But I avoid them at all cost... unfortuanatly sometimes we have to experince them to learn our lesson.... it took me awhile to find a wonderful Archery Pro Shop... I also had to run the gamet of bad bow shops till I found keeper. I would make it perfectly clear to Parker that the Bow Shop short limbed you and was dishonest about the matter and then DROP THAT BOW SHOP LIKE A HOT ROCK..... after all they are the Representative between you the customer and Parker Bows... what the customer dosent know is that the ball being dropped wasnt Parkers Fault but it was the Dealers fault... but the customer many times dosent know that and they just blame it on Parker..... AND THE BOW SHOP DOSENT WANT TO TAKE THE BLAME THEY HAVE EARNED FOR FEAR OF LOSSING FUTURE BUISNESS...I for one as a Company Owner would not like to have a dealer such as the one you delt with representing my company.I Hope all goes well with your new limbs and ... Give that Parker another try

RE: Don't know who to blame but I will find out

Glad to hear that Parker handled the situation like it should have been handled. It's a shame the Pro Shop experience turned out to be crappy. Now that you have found out where the problem came from I would drop that pro shop and never spend another dime there. On the other hand I would tell everyone that asked how pleased I was with Parker's customer service.
