Bought a used Hoyt Magnatec cheap and shot it for a few years. Even though I could have afforded a newer bow, I was just getting into bowhunting after borrowing my brother-in-law's bow and wasn't sure how much bowhunting I would actually do. Liked it and still use it as my backup.
Now I bowhunt a lot. Last year I sprung for a new Xtec. So now I shoot the bow I want and love it.

I have an 04' Patriot. It is a great bow, and I don't see myself selling it anytime soon. I will probably keep it as my hunting bow, and buy myself an Old Glory for spots and 3D next year. If money was no issue, I would be shooting the Old Glory right now, but the Patriot is a pretty damn good bow, it's just not as forgiving as I would like for competition.

I am lucky enough to shoot whatever I want...................as long as I carry it in my shop.......
I am lucky because I carry Bowtech and Mathews
I do kinda like the tech riser though[:-][:-]

I shoot a crappy old PSE Nova, it is slow and inconsistent, but I've killed 8 deer, 2 elk, and 1 antelope with it, as well as several nuissance critters...
I just bought my 12 year old a Hoyt RinTec today, and it makes MY bow look like a joke.
I want a new bow.
If money isn't that big of a deal, isn't Bowtech's Black Knight the baddest thing out there?
other than short brace height and persnickity timing, this thing looks impressive
Anyone own one?
(anyone wanna sell one? I'm RH @ 29" )

This is a great topic!
I for one shoot what I feel fits me best. I don't care about the price or name. I am however fond of the older style Browning risers, they are big and sturdy and have a longer A to A than most, they fit me to a "T". I shoot a Boss Tracker, it's accurate, powerfull, quiet and reliable. I don't plan on changing....no reason to. So I guess you can say I shoot the bow I wanted.
