shoot 3D and play fastpitch softball with several years ago. He lives about 2 hours north these days but owns a couple small farms around here. I saw his truck parked near the ball diamonds(opening day of youth baseball) and noticed all of the decals on the windows, so I asked him what was up with that. Cecil replies he got hooked up with a company that has a show on the Men's Channel. He and his son have been filmed on 3-4 hunts so far. Deer, hogs, coyotes, forgot the other one. They were offered the chance to be filmed on an elk hunt out west but passed due to work schedules. According to Cecil, all they had to do was show up and be filmed, permits and licences were paid for. Not certain, but I think he said the hunting equipment was provided beforehand also. No certain brand of bow was required although they chose Matthews.

For anyone interested to know how they got hooked up, he and his son videoed some hunts and gave or sent them to the company. The company was impressed enough to discuss filming hunts for their show and voila............free equipment and some dandy hunts all paid for. Must be nice!

With Memorial day coming this is just another great reason to thank a vet for allowing us to have tremendous opportunities like this. We have our problems that's for sure but it would be wrong not to be thankful for the plenty of this country. This is one of those stories that makes me to be thanful to live in such a great country.
