Monotec heads

Just wanted some feed back on these heads. I have read a few posts on them but want more info. If ya dont like them tell me what you like (no mecanicals, I shoot a long bow). I have shot muzzys my hole life. The monos look so strong, thats why I am interested.

Also which do ya like the 2 or 3 blades.

I shoot the 125 grain 3 blade. I find that they fly alot straighter than my muzzys. That being said, they are alot harder to get real sharp. I have found that sand papper and a leather strap works the best for me.

I have only shot one animal in my bow hunting career and it was with a montec and i was super impressed it went in behind the right shoulder and went through the left and not a sign of damage or anything to the head i re-sharpend it and it is good as new to shoot. i would recomend them to any one they fly true and are supper strong.

I shot a large doe with the Montec G5 this year and overall I was impressed. The first thing that I noticed was that these b-heads were easy to tune. I simply screwed them in and then spin-tested them to find that they were spinning true. As far as shooting goes, they fly great! I was grouping with my field points without any adjustments.

I got a complete pass-thru on the doe I shot and she only went a little ways before expiring! The only problems I noticed were that they weren't as sharp as I would have liked (but I was a Thunderhead shooter and I don't think that I will ever see a sharper b-head). The other thing that I noticed was that these b-heads didn't leave a great bloodtrail. The shot was perfect and when I gutted her out, I noticed that there were huge blood clots inside that had started to plug up the entrance and exit holes!

A neighbor swears by them - he won't use anything else. He's trying to convert me.

Good heads, accurate, tough, and well made. They are difficult to get sharp, but they do stay sharp once you get them their.

I bought a 3 pack of the 100 grain G5 Montecs about a week ago. I shot just one of them about 25 times into my target. Groups right with my field points too.

I'm going to stick with my Muzzys though. I'm going to post these 3 on the classified ads on this site. 2 of the heads have never even been taken out of the package, the one I shot a lot is pretty dull, but they say you can resharpen them pretty easy.

If anyone is interested, just e-mail me.
