hog calls & estrus
 

i bought a hog grunt call and sow in heat (estrus urine) at the cajunslick.com is there any body had been try this? I am a beginner, im going bow hunting this summer i dont wanna drive the game away i tried the grunt call and it dosnt really
sounds like a hog thank to your advice.....

I have seen the calls used with success, as for the estrus, Ive never seen it used. I have seen people pin up a sow in heat out in a field to draw the feral boars out. It worked, so I assume the estrus would work.

My experience has been 50/50 with the call. It's a great cover when stalking or walking to the stand.They write you off and think you're a pig till they see you standing upright.Then they jet. from the stand I have never seen it work. If they seem to be going away, you might want to give it a grunt or two to make them think another pig is eating close. If your lookin for a sour mash attractant, check out my page below.
