bow hunting for chipmunks

I just started bow hunting for chipmunks and it is fun but hard. I was just wondering who else does this and what do you think of it.

I just started chipmunk hunting with a bow and it is fun. I am up to five chipmunks so far. Sprintflyer i like to roast them over the fire. You may think im kidding but i have actually eaten chipmunk roasted over the fire. Let me just say its really really chewy.

Think about it guys, I hunt squirrel for the same reason. If I make the shot on a chipmunk or a tree rat, then what happens when Mr. Big comes walking by?

Oh Yea....

Great practice!

how many arrows have you lost?

Not as many as you would think! Judo points have a tendancy to flip the arrow up into the air after it his the ground so it dosn't burrow after the shot like field points will.
Bright colored fletching helps find it in a pile of leaves also. I also look at it as the arrow is the cheapist part of my equiptment when all is said and done, so I am not concerned with losing 1 or 2 a trip. I fished competitive bass tournaments for a number of years and losing 4 or 5 crankbaits at 4 bucks a shot while fishing a tournament was a givin if you are fishing where the big fish live. So 1 or 2 arrows lost to me is the same as a bad day on the lake.

When practicing I also try unbelievably tough shots knowing I will probably destroy an arrow here and there, so when the moment of truth comes I KNOW what my arrow flight is like, and where I can and cannot shoot.

My 2 cents
