Martin does not use zebra strings . Mathews does . That said the only strings I would put on my bow would be , winners choice , or vapor trail . I agree martins stock strings are of poor quality . Im glad noone was hurt , these things can be very dangerous .

How old were your string and cabel ?
Was the serving seperated or worn through ?
Check your lower cam modual [if a single cam] for sharp edges .
