Synthetic deer lures

Has anyone had any successes or failures with the new synthetic deer lures out there?
I've had just enough bad experiences with the urine based "natural" stuff to make me think about trying them.

Tinks, Tinks, Tinks, been working great for me. What exact kind of lure do you use? Never really tried the synthetic stuff. Hey BTBowhunter what part of Westmoreland County are you from? Iam from Fayette County Connellsville.

Last year I played with a buck in an area I didn't hunt until later in the season (long story, he's huge and I'm stupid). He had a large scrape in a MAJOR doe crossing between feed and bedding, it was close to town, in a farm, and you could drive right by it. I often did, on my lunch hour, and would squirt Buck Fever pre-rut then rut scent in it. When I would return a few days later, he had typically always torn the area up. I kept this up on and off, kind of as an experiment, but never really hunted the area until later, as I was chasing a monster in a neighboring county.

Bottom line, the scent didn't chase him or the does away, it seemed to work as advertised. I plan a repeat performance this year, only this time I'll be waiting.

Matthews I'm in the Northern tip of Westmoreland near Apollo. best results I've had so far have been with Fritz deer lure here in Pa and Hooley juice in Illinois. Both are bottled and dated just before the season and kept refrigerated. A little more expensive but somehow I think its gotta be better than the stuff bottled last fall! Gonna give some stuff from hawgs limited a try this year. They claim its synthetic with phermones but without impurities that let urine decompose and get nasty (to the deer)

I've also had good luck with the scented candles but you cant drag a candle down a trail.

THIS YEAR I HAVE A MOCK SCRAPE STRIP OF 8 SCRAPES. I AM USING HAWGS SYNTETIC LURES FOR ALL EIGHT. I AM USING THE PRE RUT AND FOREHEAD GLAND PRODUCTS.

EVEY MOCK SCRAPE I HAVE HAS FOOT PRINTS IN IT AND THEY ARE JUST STARTING TO SCRAPE HERE. I THINK THEY WORK GREAT.
