Yes. I shot carbons for a year, that was long enough. I am back to shooting XX-78's.:)

If carbon arrows are a couple of grains lighter or heavier, IT WON"T MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Especially for a hunting set up.

Washington hunter you can take those eight arrows and enjoy, but IMO when I pay good money for a product I excpect to get a good product not a 1/4 good not 1/2 good but all good. In the offseason I critter shoot (gophers, rabbits, birds etc.) and have never damaged one of my 2413's to the point where I couldn't fix it and it still flew as if not more consistant than those 4-5 carbon arrows that weren't consistant. So Puh-lease. ;):D

Well actually 8 out of 12 arrows would be 2/3 good, but we won't get technical... :D

Don't get me wrong, I understand, I shot alluminums from my recurve for quite a while.

If I pay 80 bucks for 12 arrows, I expect to be able to take my pick of arrows and be able to shoot consistent. I also expect all of them to be consistent, not 2/3 of it. Do you apply this same logic to a car? So, if only 2/3 of the car works, and the other 1/3 is sorta good, then its alright?

Cars and arrows are two differen't things. If I were to spend a few thousand dollars on 12 arrows you bet your ass I want all of them to fly true, but less than a hundred dollars? I won't use all 8 of the good arrows in 2 or maybe even 3 seasons.

If I even spend ONE dollar on something, I expect it to work. When you go to a steak house and they bring you a $20 steak that's 1/3 fat and gristle, wouldn't you raise hell? Of course you would! So, why would a 33% reject rate be acceptable for arrows if it's not acceptable at the steakhouse? So, you can use the good ones you come up with for 2-3 years. Just think, if you got a whole dozen good ones, you'd get another year or two from the money you spent.

At my arrow length, the reject rate for carbons has been so close to 100% it's scary. I've never had the opportunity to switch to carbons at all. ACC's are the only ones that shoot well for me, and they are darned good, but I can't bring myself to pay the price. I'm sticking with XX75's.

If you want a quality arrow, you gotta pay for them. Simple as that. As in most things in life, you get what you pay for. I shoot ACCs because I belive there are some advantages to aluminum but I think carbons are more durable. With ACCs I get a mixture and the advantages of both. They are not cheap, but neither is any of my other equipment for hunting. I find it hard to believe that some of you saying that the XX75's that you shoot are better quality than a good carbon arrow. XX75's are just one step above the cheapest Gamegetter shafts and while XX78s are better arrows, they aren't that cheap either.

I am in the process of switching from GT XT Hunters to XX78 2315s. I just made up 6 of the XX78s yesterday. 29" using 4" Quickspins. I definitely have some tuning issues to work out as well as the recalibration of my sight. Even so, the accuracy improvement out to 40 yds. is astounding!
My bow is much quieter and vibration has gone from very little to almost nonexistant.
They are definitely not the cheapest arrows out there (especially witht he Quickspins!) but I think they will be worth it.
They definitely have a lot more drop than the GT arrows (540gr. vs 390gr.) but with my sight setup and rangefinder I don't think it will be much of a hinderence. Especially not when I'm hunting!

I have NO INTENTION of changing from my XX75 2313's.[:@][:@]
