Mechanical arrow rests
 

Hello,

I am fairly new to bow hunting and really enjoy it a lot. I have heard some people talking about mechanical arrow rests that rise and fall when pulling back the bow. Any information that someone could give would be very appreciated. Thanks

do a search in the tech forum on "drop away rests". You should find everything you need their. My personal choice is the Muzzy zero effect. it is strong, silent and reliable.

The best fall away rest and the most simple is trophytaker rest from trophytaker.com. I used it in 3d and hunting. Many pro shooters have posted perfect scores using this rest and if it that accurate it has to be good. Very popular in my area and I have told several people on realtree.com and they are using and talking alot about them. Check it out and I think you would like it.

Just installed my NAP Quicktune 4000 yesterday and adjusted it according to instructions; no jury rigging was required as would be with the Muzzy. On the range [20 yards] the first two arrows [target] were in the bull the third arrow [a broadhead] sliced the vane on one of the target arrows. It's eady to hunt an less than one afternoon.

The NAP quicktune 4000 is a good rest and easy to set up but the Muzzy zero effect is an equally good rest and is as easy to set up with no rigging required. It even comes with a video to guide you thru the set up. All you have to do is follow the very simple set up procedure and you will shoot a bullet hole thru paper the first time.

Muzzy Zero effect looks intimidating, but is alot eayser than you'd think (NO jerry rigging required.) You do need a upper cable guard though. I also heard alot of good things about trophy takers rest. I wont shoot a bow without a Muzzy Zero effect again. Very happy with mine. Jim

I'll cast another vote for the Golden Key MIRAGE. This is an awesome rest that has done everything I've wanted it to, including posting some of my very best 3D scores and my tightest long range groupings. I love the patented Super Scoop launcher arm. It grabs, cradles, lifts and centers the arrow as you draw. It than provides the desired arrow support (between 5 1/2&quot; to 6&quot; for me) and then falls down out of the path of the fletch, thus eliminating any fletch contact for flawless arrow flight. The rest features few moving parts, is machined from all metal and is surprisenly quiet.... sounds like the ultimate bowhunting rest to me??? You've got to take a serious look at this top quality fall away.
