How do the specs compare between them. They are both made by the same company, you know.

OK, I went and looked myself. Hands down I'd pick the Epic's. They have much better weight tolerance so the quality is better. I still don't like the .005 for straightness, but prefer .003, but that was not your question.

Don't get the Carbon Excels, they're junk.

I may have bad luck, but I bought half a dozen and one blew up shooting target and two others had problems with the inserts coming loose. This all happened within the first couple of weeks.

Blackhawk Vapors - Nice arrows! I used to shoot Alums XX78s and XX75s and they are nice for hunting. BUT I like the fact that carbons are either straight or broken. No guesswork. Plus there are carbons out there that are weight and straightness matched for your shooting pleasure.

Poluke,

That statement isn't true. Carbon arrows can be bent and I have personally seen it. Try paper-tuning a arrow that is bent when you think it is straight.... it leads to alot of headaches.

As far as good cheap arrows go.... you can't be the prices on Gold Tips from Mt. Archery
