Any feedback on what you guys think of shooting Bowtechs new binary cams?

If you do a search on the new bowtechs(especially the allegiance)you will see nothing but praise about the binary cam system:)

I'm presently shooting the Allegiance VFT.
Depending on the individual, some find it smooth to draw, others say it feels much 'harder to draw' than a single cam with a idler wheel.
Personally, I find the draw very smooth--haven't tried it out in the frigid temperatures as yet, after sitting for 3 hours in a stand!![8D].

A positive for the bow is that it's very quiet/silent, smooth and like many other bows on the market today---fast!
With constant practice this bow grows on ya. I have modified my grip, shaved the back and made it more like a standard grip (low rise).
Also changed my cable slide and used Sims string leeches.
The bow has absolutely no vibration after a shot, IMHO.

A negative, for this bow IMO, is the inability for changing draw lengths by switching modules.
On the 2005 BowTech Binary Cam Bows the draw length can only be changed by removing both cams and replacing with a matched pair for a particular draw length.
I've had questions from customers asking what happens if they buy the bow in a 29" draw say--and then wanted to sell the bow to someone with a 27" draw. Well this is where the problem begins. Those 29" cams have to be changed and unfortunately we're not offering the service of swaping cams--now this will 'cost' some extra money to either the guys selling the bow or the individual buying the bow--this all depends on those individuals involved.
Personally, I find this to be a potential 'negative' for the resale of the current Binary System bows---nevertheless changing cams will accomadate anyone with a different length.

Just out of curiousity, what does it cost in CDN dollars to do a D/L cam switch?

60 bucks for the set in the states. I don't really think that is a big deal when you are talking a 700 bow.

Terry--it'll retail for about $72 CAN.
However, I was just talking with a friend of mine who can assist in changing the cams--providing they're no dings or damage to the string and cable track, etc.
So now things doesn't seem all that problematic after all.

The cams only cost $60. I was a bit disappointed when I read that you could not adjust your draw length. I thought the cams would be a few hundred dollars. Now that I found out that they are $60, I may just order them just to have them![8D]
