cam & 1/2 Hoyts & Reflexes?
I am considering buying one of the cam& 1/2 Reflex Buckskins and I"m wondering if anyone has experienced the cams getting out of time?I've been shooting my Highcountry for about six years and I'm ready for a change. Also if anyone has any pros or cons on the reflex line I would welcome the info.

I shoot a Hoyt cam and 1/2 and it shoots awesome. I have been shooting it ALOT for 2 months now and the only thing I had to do was wax the string. The cams are timed wth a timing cable so they roll over at the same time. It is hoyts answer to the solo cam. I don't think that you can go wrong with the cam and 1/2.

Nothin wrong with Reflex at all, they are basicly a hoyt eccept the riser... (Same company) And I agree, you cannot go wrong with the cam 1/2... And if you should find yourself in trouble with them (which I doubt) There are many people on here and other forums that will gladly help you out... Including me... But the Hoyts w/cam 1/2 are awesome bows for sure...

Wow, you just blew my mind! Just bought a reflex super slam cam and 1/2 today. I shot it only a few times today but I do like it. I bought it after researching the same as you.
Reflex is made by hoyt. The difference is most reflexs has a machined riser. the other diference is laminated limbs. But the main difference is price ( the name). Now if for some reason these are an issue, look some more. I'm confident and happy with my purchase. See also the thread "comparing hoyt and reflex" further down the page.
good luck!

Pungoman - I just ordered a Buckskin yesterday. I read and talked to everyone I could and couldn't find anything negative about the cam and a half. Plus they are great to shoot. The only negative I've ever heard about Reflex is that they are last year's Hoyts; don't know if that is true or not, but if so, that's fine with me. A person can do a lot worse than Hoyt.

I think the main difference in the Reflexes and the higher price Hoyts is mainly that the riser is Magnesium instead of aluminum. Depends on who you talk to as to whether or not that is a big deal. All of the top of the line Hoyts have aluminum risers. The cam & 1/2 should be basically the same.
