Thoughts on New Bows
I have tested the following Hoyt,Mathews. and Bowtech so far I am leaning toward bowtech due to its stability, stealth and no shock.
I recently seen a Kodiak Bow Logic 32 that looked promising it came with some cool sites and drop away rest and string silencers for 699.00 has anyone fired one of those. Thanks |
RE: Thoughts on New Bows
I must agree that the BowTech is the bettre of the three. I have recently purchased a new Diamond by BowTech and it shoots like a dream with minimal shock out of the box.

Can I suggest trying the Jennings CK 3.4R or 3.1R before you buy. These two bows have no shock and have a great feel right out of the box.
Well worth the look before you make a decision! Good Luck! |
RE: Thoughts on New Bows
Thanks for the Ideas. I will try and find a Jennings dealear also. I was just curious abot that Kodiak as it looked very nice, but it is an unkown to me. I love that Bowtech Defender however it felt great. But the bow alone was 599.
I need to upgrade as I am tryimg to bag a turkey this year with a bow and going on deer hunt in Iowa in the fall and the 10yr old XI looks funny, It did do the job this year, it connected on a 9 point,8 point and three does. Just looks old. |
RE: Thoughts on New Bows
You might try another model of Hoyt. Very few bows will outperform a Hoyt that fits the shooter. Oh, and they will be there years down the road for service when many of the others are history.;)

RE: Thoughts on New Bows
I was in the market to replace the Reflex Excursion i had. I researched and found similar spec bows from Hoyt, Mathews and Bowtech. I shot them all and found that they were all great bows. It came down to the bow I felt fit me best. I now own a Bowtech Allegiance. I love it. My advice is to buy what makes you happy.
