Alpine Tundra series of bows.
 

Any one that went to the ATA show, or any one else, get to handle and shoot the new Alpine tundra series bows.

These are some sweet looking bows but I seem to be concerned about the steel dowel rods being pinned in aluminum if they will wollow out the holes over time or not.

The grip looks simply awesome and the bow is one of the best looking I have ever seen.

A local shop of mine may be picking up Whisper Creek. If they do I am interest to shoot one. I will let you know what I think of them if indeed they do pick them up. He shot them at the ATA and really liked them.

I remember in another post you were interested in them.

That would be awesome buckeye. They are suppose to have some more features they have added for 2005. Woven limbs, and a new type of axle suspension system that the axles do not come in to contact with the limb but rather suspended in a vibration absorbing system, and a type of micrometer that allows a person to return the limbs to within .001" of where they were should it need to be worked on.

I wish I had someone local that sold them. My closest dealer is over six hours away.[:'(]


Whisper Creek and these two from Alpine really have my intrest peaked.

your in luck it just so happens my son shoots for whisper creek. a few of the features you mentioned are not available yet. the bow suspension and micrometer will be available in 06. they had the prototype for thr bow suspension at the ata show but had to put it away it literally drew all the attention. I had the oppertunity to shoot it and it simply just blew me away. you have never shot a smoother, quieter, vibration free bow ever. the bow was set at 55lbs and it felt like i was shooting a 20lb bow unreal!!! they do however have 12 new bows this year. in 04 the ps was there top of the line bow and it was very good. this year its one of there lower end bows and the ones above it are outstanding. if you can get past the radical looks of all the technology you will truelly enjoy this line. if you can wait until the 06 models come out i would, the bow suspension is a must have. the prices of these bows are will be very reasonable with the high end bow around $600 for the 05 line. if you have any questions about them let me know I'll be happy to help.

I talked to the rep on the phone about three weeks ago. Of course he said it shoots great and one of his friends who is a loyal Hoytian loved it. Someone over on AT said it shot "like a dream".

Like you, I am concerned about the dowel pins, and durability over a period of time. The rep said the method that they use to put them in should ensure that they remain rigid, but who knows. I would hate to spend the cash only to find out they rattle a year later.

Anyone have any idea what the Denali retails for?

I did manage to get some prices from a dealer ont he Alpine bows.

The Denali (solid limbs) will retail for $500.00 and the Yukon (split limbs) will retail for $520.00

The match grade with the integrated rest and sight will add bout $130.00 fto both bows.
