RE: Fletching glue Q's???
I use Beyond Bond and just use a thin stip of glue down the center of the vane so no need to wipe off and execss.
If you have to wipe off excess then you are using too much glue.;) |
RE: Fletching glue Q's???
I use AAE fast set gel for everything. Feathers, vanes, carbon and aluminum. Vanes and feathers never come off unless you take them off. Five seconds and you are ready to move to the next fletch.
Like Ausie said if you need to wipe it off you are useing too much. |
RE: Fletching glue Q's???
Well i was testing out the Bohning instant gel and it comes out so thick. i can't get a thinner strip... that's why I ask...

RE: Fletching glue Q's???
I use Duravanes & I use either the Duraloc made by Duravanes or good old Gel Super Glue. Of course this is with carbons, for aluminums I still like Fletch-tite.

RE: Fletching glue Q's???
I use Fast Fletch adesive for vanes & feathers on both carbon & aluminum. Sets up quick, holds great, and still isn't too bad to strip when necessary.

RE: Fletching glue Q's???
I've had good luck with Goat Tuff. A little goes a long way. If you have to wipe it off, you are using to much. Give it a try.

RE: Fletching glue Q's???
Bohning Platinum- Great glue, comes out of the tube easy and alot easier to remove from the shaft than the gel.

RE: Fletching glue Q's???
Well the Gel I was using was hard to get an even, thin flow... I got squeeze out no matter how thin i got it (wich wasn't very thin) So you guys are getting good flows with these huh... I'll have to try them out...
