RE: "WHAT is this?"

1. A cross bow wanna be.
2. 1st cousin of the cross bow.
3. A "closet" cross bow.
4. A P&Y illegal bow.
5. A versatile arrow/bolt/dart shooter.
6. A new type of attachment so we can have more discussions on "separate seasons".

Take your pick. :)

Antler Eater:

Sounds to me like the same things people said about the compound bow when it first came out. People use to say, "why don't those compound people use a rifle!". It's funny how people say things about things they do not totallty understand. Human nature, I guess. Sad for the future. People do not usually change their thinking because it is easier to stay with what they currently understand. There's a lot of neat things out there if people take the time to understand and not to worry about what their buddy thinks as well. Everybody wants to be more accurate, and the solution is already here!

JeffA,

The accurest is not what I would consider new. I am quite familiar with it actually. I have looked it over in person in the presence of the manufacturer on more than one occasion. If a person chose the accurest as one of their options I certainly would not be critical. It is just not something I would be happy with.

It sounds like my feeble attempt at humor failed miserably. Sorry it struck a bad chord.

Your honesty is refreshing to say the least. I wish all bow hunters were the same. Best to you in the woods this season.

First saw one three years ago at the whitetail classic.Test fired it and liked the way it shot and felt. And they are suppose to be legal in states where crossbows arent.

With all of the modern day gadgetry for compounds, I fail too see much of a advantage. With bows shooting at speeds over 300 fps with carbons, mechanical heads, drop-away rests using shorter arrows in the 26" range, how would shooting thru this tube be an advantage? You still got to aim the thing, guess distances, right? I know the lighter the arrow, the flatter the flight, but if you get too light then where is the penetration?

Looks to me like another gimmick for the archer to waste his money on.

Just my opinion...
