Trophy Ridge Nitro Extreme
Hi all,
just picked up this sight tonight, and everything looks great - except for the 5 pins (10-50 yds) seem like they don't have enough adjustment vertically for my (slow) bow. I will find out for sure tomorrow at the range. Does anyone here have these problems with these sights? Any solutions? Like I said, great sight, but it would be a shame to have to switch to a faster bow because of a sight... Jim. |
RE: Trophy Ridge Nitro Extreme
Well, after doing some shooting this weekend and going into a "fun" 3D tourney on Sunday, I have to say I'm very impressed with these sights. Fine diameter pins, little blockage of target with pin arms, and not over-powering brightness.
The only thing that I would suggest to anyone purchasing these sights is to make sure the wingnuts on the entire sight block (which, by the way are convenient for adjustments without tools) are as tight as possible with your fingers... then they won't move on you, like the did to me on Sunday, halfway through the shoot!!! AND make sure once sighted in, everything is marked so that if it does move, you can quickly restore it to original position. By the way, this sight accepts the "Nitro Stix" glow sticks. Great little accessory, not too bright but just enough.... |

I bought the same 5 pin sight and I could not get the 60 yd pin to sight into 60 yd.(for target only) The max. I could get was around 54 yds. I tried moving everything but to no avail. I even contacted the company and tried all their suggestions. No luck.
I shoot a Mathews and the speed was tested at 270 on a chrono with my set up. I don't think there is the range of adjustment built into the sight. Other than that small problem I love this sight and it's easy adjustments. |

stark:
a guy I was shooting with this weekend had the same sight and let me in on this piece of advice... for 60 yds, use the top of the level bubble. He states that it's really close (shooting a Bear Epic Extreme). I haven't tried it yet, but will be in the future. |
