rain gear advice

going to lab/quebec on my first caribou hunt the last week of august 2005. I understand that the temps during the day can be warm to cool and the evening cooler yet. However out of all of the fine equipment that I have, good raingear is not one of them. I dont think that I will really need the insulated rainwear as the outifitter said for this time of year dressing in layers usually will suffice. With this in mind can any of you other hunters make some recommendations of some good quality raingear.
Thanks in advance!

RE: rain gear advice

I didn't spend a small fortune on my rain gear. I got some from Gander Mountian that's their own brand. Guide H20 or something. It's relatively quiet, definately waterproof, breathes well and was about $70 for the jacket and $50 for the pants. Great for that money.

I have a set of Cabelas' RainSuede rain gear that I have used for the past three years without any problems. It is uninsulated and is reasonably priced.
