Default Api Grand Slam Magnum Extreme

Dose anybody have any input on the Api Grand Slam Magnum Extreme? I am looking to buy a climbing stand with a 350 pound plus rating.

I owned the Grand Slam bowhunter and just sold it on eBay. I bought the Summit Goliath and really like it. Its light at 22 pounds and rated at 350 pounds. Nice stand.

I have a API Grand slam and like it It's eayser to adjust than a summit in my opinion due to the chain having more places to put a pin , The cable adjustment on a summit has less adjustment. It's a bit heavy but very comfortable onece in the tree.

Api magnum extreme is IMO by far the best climber available. I have owned over 10 climbers, including Summit viper, API, treelounge, hunter's view, and several others, and the Api is the only one I will buy now. The coated chain provides BY FAR THE QUIETEST SETUP WITH NO CLANKING, as well as the largest range of adjustment as to the smallest and largest diameter tree that it will work with. It is also the most comfortable to sit in, and is a breeze to climb in. I frequently sit 12 hours, and find it comfortable ALL DAY--can even take a nap with no fear of falling out. Great stands!!

Too bad API is no longer in business... Bass Pro now owns the name and has the stands made in China.

Sorry.. I wouldn't touch one w/ a 10' pole... give me one of them POS Summits or Loggys any day.

Thanks everyone, Due to Api going under Bass Pro didn't have any in stock so I ordered a Summit Goliath.
