A couple of new items. Check them out.

The first is a rangefinder that you put on your sight window. Its a sticker that you line up lines with the animals back and belly. I ordered one to try it out. It was 11 bucks with shipping. http://www.deadonrangefinder.com/

The next is a device that allows you to shoot without fletching as long as you us a drop away rest. It looks interesting. I use a whisker buscuit though so I didnt order on of these. www.starrflight.com

Check them out tell me what you think.

Is this supposed to work with all animals or just your average sized deer? What if you hunt moose or elk or bear?

the rangefinder has seperate ones for deer, and elk, I am not sure about moose or bear, although I would imagine they would. You would have to look.

I did this same thing last year.

I have a white ring on my sight window then I took different colour markers(that matched my sight pins). I basically made the same thing myself by taking measurements then marking my pin guard with appropriate colours for different ranges and yes it does work.

Guess I saved myself 12 bucks...
