Fletching jig

I'm ready to buy a jig for use at home and am wondering what brand to get. It seems one can get the Grayling a little cheaper than a bitzenberger. Anyone used both? Any strong feelings about them?

Used both and the Bitz wins in quality and consistentcy hands down

I have both as well. No doubt that the Bitz is ibviously the better jig but the Grayling really is just a plastic version and would serve most folks very well. If ya don't want to spend the extra money, don't. Good luck and good shootin'

I picked up a Jo-Jan monofletcher. All metal construction and retails around $35 for straight clamp and $40 for L or R helical.

Graylings are great, bitzs are much better, jo-jans are the best! Actually, for accuracy, the bitz is by far the best jig out there, i use the jo-jan though because of being able to do all my arrows at once. I for one have never had any problems with it. But, you wont go wrong with either one of those.

I am looking for a fletching jig as well for my ACC arrows. The guys at the local shop use the Arizona E-Z Fletch jig, it looks kinda of cheap ~ does anyone here have good or not so good experience with that jig? Thanks.

I was just looking in the Cabelas Archery catalog and they have a 3 feather/vane fletcher that is similar to the Bitz but does all three vanes at the same time. Has anyone used this unit or have experience with it?

I'd be a little leary of a shop that uses an Arizona EZ-Fletch. Don't get me wrong, it seems like a great idea for a casual shooter, but to get varying degrees of helical and for custom fletch jobs, it seems that a shop would have something a little more sophisticated...

Just my $0.02
