where is a cheap place to get good deer stands??
Cheap scate (me) is looking around for a quality deer stand or 2 for this fall. I have looked online and haven't found much. www.deerstands.com has some descent prices, nothing exciting. I even went to the Summit site, I couldn't find the prices (wholesale only?). eBay is a little over priced this time of year.
Thanks

Probably aint a good time of year to look for deals on stands but I got a couple from sports authority last year after the season. Both marked way down. I got a climber & a strap on, less than $100 for both. Hunters view stands, not top of the line but both serve their purpose quite well & the hang on is downright comfy.

Farm and Home came out with their ad today. They have a 16' ladder stand for $59. I wasn't looking for a ladder stand, but that is darn cheap!!

I bought three Hunter View chain on stands last year and can't find anything bad about them. Good solid stand at a good price. Wally world has them sometimes for about 40.00. I had to pay 50.00 for the ones I bought, but I feel I got a super deal. I leave mine in the woods from October till January so I'm taking a big chance of them getting stolen. I can't pay a lot under these conditions. Don

The sportsmans guide has some decent deals

I bought 2 Remmington 7mm stands earilier this year. I hung one on Saturday. It's pretty roomy and suprisingly comfortable. Well, I was only in it for 20 minutes. I'll let you know what I think after I log some real hours on stand.

I'm not sure if there is any particular brand that you are partial to. I picked up two today.
1. A Gorilla Kong on sale for $39.80
2. A Steel Star on sale for $39.86
I have never used the Star stand but I know the Gorilla line is good.
