RE: Trophy Ridge Matrix

Why not consider the Flatliner. It is much less expensive and still has the basic feature of the vertical pin technology. I have used it for quite a while now and am very happy with it. For me, it is much easier to use the vertical sighting than it is to use the horizontal and this sight offers a no-frills design that is much, much less expensive than the Matrix.

RE: Trophy Ridge Matrix

I use the Trophy Ridge Matrix with five .019" pins. I like the vertical pins better than my old sight with horizontal pins. My friend has one with the .029" pins and I tried that one first. At 20 and maybe even 30 yards I didn't have a problem with that diameter but when I practiced at 40+, it covered too much of the target. I don't have a problem with noise but I also use the allen screws, not the thumb screws. Once you get it set up, you shouldn't mess with it anyway. I found the glow sticks to be a pain in the arse so I don't use them. They get to be expensive also. This year, they released a small light that mounts to the top of the sight that is supposed to light up the fiber optics. I just picked it up but haven't had time to mess with it yet.
Bottom line is that I like mine. Are their better sights, maybe. Are there cheaper sights, absolutley. It's all personal opinion. Get a cheap one off of eBay. If you don't like, sell it on eBay.

I bought the Nitro Extreme, it splits the difference between the Flatliner and the Matrix in both price and features.

Stupid quesiton (I know, there aren't stupid questions, just stupid people who ask questions).

I have two RH Triphy Ridge Matrix sights (3-pinand 5-pin versions). Both have integrated sight levels. If I use the sight level, both sights would force me to rotate the bow a few degrees clockwise from true vertical. Is that normal?

I have had one on my bow for just over a year and by far the best sight I have every shot for hunting or 3D. Works great for those last few minutes of legal light in the swamp.
