Have you looked at the Lacrosse Alpha Burley Sports? They came out last year.
I have a pair and love them. There about like wearing a pair of running shoes, but taller.

silbowhunter,
Do your feet get hot in them at all. Do you have them with or without insulation? I'm thinking about getting them but I'm not sure if I should get them insulated or not. I would like to use them in both early and late seasons. Thanks,
-Rob

I am with silbowhunter on this one. I just got a pair of the Alpha Burly SPorts myself. They are almost like wearing sneakers. Your feet will get hot in any rubber boot as they do not breath. The same thing that keeps the "stink" in also keeps the air out. ;)

I never found a pair that I like either. I gave up a few years ago and went back to comfortable, warm, supported, non-sweating feet. It never changed the amount of deer I saw.

Muck Boots

Check out the Woody Max from the Muck Boot Company. I've got a pair of the original Woody's, the difference being the sole on mine is not quite as aggressive. These boots are insulated but the are made of a breathable material.

Not sure exactly how it works, but your feet don't sweat any more than they would with a typical pair of hunting boots but they also keep your feet warm in the winter.

Very comfortable and well worth the $$ in my opinion.

Your feet will get hot, like any rubber boot.
They have a felt like material but to call it insulation would be pushing it.
They are not warm enough for cold weather, for my taste.

I too have the Muck Boots (woody max) and love them. A little pricey, but they are soooo comfy. No sweating and my socks stay up, which they never do in the standard rubber boots.

I bought a pair of Rocky rubber boots with a zipper on the side that goes 2/3 of the way down the boot. This makes for easy on and off. They have 1000 grams of insulation and have a very aggressive tread. I wear them from the beginning of archery season till the end (Sept thru mid Nov.) I wear Cabelas Ultimax Liner socks with a pair of Ultimax med. or heavy wt. socks. They do any excellent job of wicking the perspiration away. I bought the boots at Cabelas but I'm not sure they are handling Rocky rubber boots at the present. To sum this all up, I am very pleased with the comfort and warmth of this combination.
