Easton Carbon Epics - your opinion please
I posted this to the main bowhunting board but got no response.
Has anyone used Easton Carbon Epics?
If so, what is your opinion, good or bad?
Reason, I'm thinking of using them this year.

I have not used the Epics but used the Evolutions last year, all of the Easton Carbons seem to have the same problems. Accuracy gets worse the more you shoot with them, I noticed my groups with my target arrows going from hitting nocks to 3" groups. The C2 building operation seems to have a flaw. The shaft opens up at the bottom more, kind of hard for me to explain! Somebody might be able to explain better!
I bought Gold Tip XT Hunters 55/75.

I used them for the past 2 hunting seasons. They're not a bad arrow for the price. I've had a couple break while shooting targets but then have had complete pass-thrus on deer with no problems at all. Typical of any carbon I suppose. I'm shooting some fat aluminums for 3-D this summer but plan on using the Carbon Express Terminator Selects this fall. Quite a bit heavier than the Epics, but closer in weight to the aluminums I'm currently shooting.

I bought a doz. epics, and used them with my new bow. I liked them just fine. Then last year the Buckeye's came out, and they had a little more weight to them for better penetration. I decided to use my lighter Epics for summer 3d shoots, and leave the Buckeye's just for hunting.

rochelle, I agree about the Terminators, but they're fiberglass/carbon composite, not really carbon. Excellent arrows though.
I've had more problems with breakage using Epics than I've had with any other carbon arrow I've shot. Other than that, they're equivilant to any other carbon arrow in their price range.

Good hunting arrow. I also noticed that the groups seemed to open with them. I bought some gold tips for this season and im going to try them. I also tried the easton excels, which is about the same arrow, but with less of a weight tolerance. I still recomend them to people at the store though.
