Matthews Err...what other brands even come close? |
RE: Rating Manufactures
1. Mathews
2. Hoyt 3. PSE 4. AR 5. Parker 6. Martin These are bows lines I have at least shot and or owned. I don't feel I have the right to rate companies that I havn't at least shot. Owning a bow is the real test and really is the only true way to get a feel for a bow and possibly how the company who makes it works(warranty/service). |
RE: Rating Manufactures
Of the bows that I have shot....
1. Hoyt 2. Mathew's 3. PSE 4. Browning 5. Bowtech (I haven't shot the Liberty or Justice yet, but I have shot the others) 6. Kodiak |
RE: Rating Manufactures
5. Martin (more geared towars target shooting than hunting IMO) Martin has been one of the best and durable hunting bows I have ever owned. As for the order of best vs. less. They are all good. Also, I agree that Browning is a highly underrated and overlooked hunting bow. |
RE: Rating Manufactures
1. Parker
2. Merlin 3. Hoyt 4. Darton 5. Bowtech 6. Martin 7. Mathews 8. PSE/Browning |
RE: Rating Manufactures
1) Hoyt (Yes, the Cam and a 1/2 is the top of the line, beat your pants off, Mathews doesn't have it, and also quite cute and cuddly trait)
2) Mathews (Been around since dirt, most nonbowhuntung people know this name) 3) Martin (Never owned, but wanted one) 4) Parker (Good friend has one, a little slow but otherwise slick) 5) Bowtech (Never got into the dual cam jobs, but they do shoot well) etc etc etc etc xxx) PSE (Customer service sucked. Spooked a nontypical 14 when it screeched for no apparent reason while drawing) xxx) Darton (Had a limb crack and seperate at the dealers indoor range. Scared the pi$$ out of me, haven't gotten over the fear of Darton yet. Took me a couple of months to pick my Hoyt back up. I thought I was going to be made a woman in a hurry. Just a freak accident I'm positive, but it put a fear of Darton in me.) |
RE: Rating Manufactures
Hoyt boy , I have to dissagree with you on the statement you made about pse.. A friend of mine had a problem with his bow the night before opening day of elk season, he called pse explained the problem they told him to ship it back and they would fix it, he told them he lived about 50 miles from them and they had him bring it in that night so they could fix it, (at the factory). They stayed open for him until 10:30 that night so he could get it tuned properly. Now you say they suck I would like to know how many other places would do just that!!!
