Dog House Blind

I got a Dog House Blind for Christmas and a friend and I took it turkey hunting, the squirrels, turkey, or crows didn't pay any attention to us. We had one deer walk across the field about 100 yards away and didn't pay any attention to us. another doe walking by at 50 yards heard me close my flip open scope caps on my Binoculars and started checking us out. She walked 90 degrees around us trying to hear and smell us, she got within 15 yards before she decided to take off. She didn't know what was there but she didn't like it.

If we were bow hunting and set up closer to were they would cross within 20 yards I don't think they would pay any attention to us.

DO YOU HAVE THE TOTAL SCENT CONTAINMENT ONE? I LOVE MINE, AS LONG AS THE WIND IS RIGHT THE DEER JUST WALK ON BY YOU. GREAT PRODUCT IN MY OPINION, GIVES YOU THE OPTION OF STAND OR GROUND YET YOU CAN MOVE A LOT MORE THAN IF YOU WERE OUT IN THE OPEN.

Two thumbs up here as well. I have know owned three of the Doghouse models...one from two years ago and two of last year's models...the Doghouse and Doghouse TSC. I find them to be ideal for a variety of situations and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who was interested in a low cost, decent quality hunting blind.

Mine is the TSC, but I don't like the plastic on the windows. I think it is annoying to look through. I was thinking about cutting the plastic off and just using the netting.

Most of the folks that I am familiar with that bought the TSC model ended up buying it for the increased width over the standard model not necessarily because of the TSC characteristics..and, subsequently, do not even use the plastic windows. I, for one, do not.

I went turk hunting in a Double Bull blind. Had a deer come within about 30yds he looked at the blind bobed his head a few times like he thought something wasn't quite right and then went along with his buisness.
